Shots fired in Balgownie domestic incident

A man is facing a long list of serious charges, after a shot was fired during a domestic incident in Balgownie.

The 29 year old is accused of throwing an incdentiary device onto the driveway of a woman's home on Meadow Street.

Polcie say he then fired a shot into the ar, before taking off in his car.

The vehicle was later located by officers, crashed into a fence on Florence Street in Fairy Meadow. 

Officers allegedly found a sawn off rifle and ammunition inside.

Following a number of inquiries, the man was tracked down in Rann Street, where he was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.

He's been charged with several offences, including fire firarm in public place; fire firearm manner likely to injure person; possess unregistered firearm; use unregistered firearm; possession of a loaded firearm in a public place; intimidation; and drive manner dangerous.
